Lighted Patriotic Boulevard Star

Early 1900 rare and exceptional double sided lighted wood star in a patriotic paint scheme with red and white screened faces, the facets showing silver stars on a blue background, wood supports, all in excellent condition, rewired and in working order, able to be plugged into a wall socket or hard wired, custom wall bracket included, exceptional condition.  30” high x 30.5” wide x 5.5” overall deep. These stars, known as ‘Boulevard Stars’ were hung along lampposts of major downtown streets in cities, especially in St Louis, during Fourth of July parade and civic celebrations. Due to their age and the extreme fragility of the screen material, almost all did not survive.
