Circa 1870 large scale rare and unusual double sided split tail metal flag weathervane connected to a central cast iron mounting post with two wave shaped iron straps emanating from the post and terminating in a large formed and shaped arrow tip which acts as a counter balance, with the entire vane suggestive of motion, all in the best as found age cracked painted surface on the tail and a rusted, multi layered painted surface in the iron straps and tip, all in excellent condition, custom contemporary wall bracket included. 69” long x 17” high x 2” deep.
