Parade Lanterns
Circa 1850 rare and unusual pair hand held tin parade lanterns, each with front and back glass doors that open to two internal candle cups, with pyramidal smoke cones, as found gilt blue paint and gilt decorative elements including a gilt cross at the top, each resting on a red and gold wood stems, custom floor mounts are 10" square. The lanterns were used at the world renowned Maria Stein Convent in Ohio, home to one of the largest documented Holy Relic Collections in the United States. https://mariasteinshrine.org/the-maria-stein-shrine.
